Development of LCL rail service from China

In mid-July 2018 ATC Cargo launches new consolidation warehouses of LCL cargo in China.

Next to Shanghai subsequent places are warehouses in all bigger Chinese aglomerations: Ningbo, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Qingdao, Tianjin (Xingang).

It enables expanding LCL services to whole China. The central warehouse where dispatching of containers will take place is Wuhan – the city in mid-east China, being one of the biggest, rapidly economically developing cities in the region with a central national railway hub.

From this point, consolidation cargo will be dispatched to Poland. A destination station will still be Malaszewice with a deconsolidation warehouse in Marki.

New logistics solution is an advantage for recipients. The solution enables combining all rail LCL cargo in one place (Wuhan). Additionally, the LCL rail service offer is expanded to whole China. Taking the time of shipment into consideration it is significant that dispatching from Wuhan helps to avoid congestion. The risk of delay is minimised, what results in higher timeliness of deliveries. Nonetheless, the most important advantage is reducing transit time (TT) from Wuhan in comparison with TT from Xi’an from 16-18 days to 13-14 days.
